The Yellow Ribbon Campaign: Free the Creative Soul

Having spent years surfing the net as a way of first avoiding homework, then avoiding work, the one thing I have noticed is there don't seem to be a lot of us girls out there doing wild and wacky stuff with our little corner of cyber suburbia. So for those who are I have designed this award. It will go to those chicks who maintain some of the best sites published by women. The subject matter is irrelavent, but the site must be maintained by a webmistress or mistresses and it has to ROCK!
If you are a webmistress and would like to nominate your site or you know of a site that qualifies please email me here with the full site URL and let me know if you are the Webmistress or just a Fan:
If you are a fan please make sure to include the email address of the webmistress, if you know it, so that I can send the gif file of the award. The picture itself has no background. I inserted the copy above into a black frame so that you can see it better. (the text kinda gets sucked into my background) It's up to you how you choose to display it but when you upload it please include a link to this page and I will do the same for you.
Chicks That Kick and Got the Prize:
The Artificial X-Men Site. This is the site that inspired me to come up with the award in the first place. It's very well done and its run by two Webmistresses, the X-Gals, who are both 16 years old. So there's no excuse for us old 'uns not to live up to their standards.
Wolverine X-Fiction. OK, accuse me of nepotism if ya like. This site is run by my friend Barb Metzger but all subjectivity aside this site kicks some serious booty.
The Root Cellar. This is a web site dedicated to Victor Creed, better known as Sabretooth Its run by fellow Misfit Birdy Jae and contains lots of stuff about this good lookin mutant, including some hot fanfic so take a look.
X-Men Fan Fiction based on the Movie. This site is gorgeous. Its run by DNC and includes a selection of Fanfic based on the X-men movie, galleries of pictures and a special section dedicated to Jean Grey.
The Blade's Edge. This site is dedicated to Wolverine and its run by Minerva. It has sections for Fanfic, Galleries, Writers Resources and a Challenge section for readers to send in plot suggestions for the authors.
Children of the Atom. by Kimra. Pics and Bios of all the characters. Kimra updates regularly (which puts me to shame) and she does some excellent little green gooey lookin graphics.
Honorary Webchick.
Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. By WG. I love this site. I could stare at it for hours and WG's artwork brings tears to my eyes, it's so cool. I would plaster my whole site with links to her stuff but she only runs her pages for her own personal enjoyment. So I'm giving her a mention here. Please go to her site, cos its great.
